1. Despite having multiple cheeses at home, I went out of my way to pick up ricotta salata for my pasta dinner — it’s that good. This bowl included spinach/tomato/regular shells with mushrooms, kale, basil olive oil and the ricotta of course.
2. When my boyfriend’s not home, this little lady and I share an embarrassing number of conversations. Well, I chat and she meows, squeaks and purrs in reply.
3. Usually it’s only 1 in 5 books that I’d recommend to a friend, and “The Interestings” by Meg Wolitzer is that latest one. The book delves into the lives of its main and supporting characters, exploring love, friendship, family, ambition, talent, success, depression, jealousy, secrecy, failure. While none of these themes are particularly groundbreaking, Wolitzer is a such a good writer that she makes the story seem new.
4. I couldn’t resist buying billy balls from the Farmers’ Market! At any given time, I likely have 10 different flowers I’d name my “favorite,” but there’s something about these that makes me extra happy.
